Overview
IPMAT Indore is run by IIM Indore for admission to IPM, BBA and BMS programmes. 14 colleges listed here accept it, including IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi and IIM Shillong.
Biggest IIM UG exam: one score is used by 6 IIMs (Indore, Ranchi, Shillong, Amritsar, Sirmaur, Sambalpur), IIFT and several private universities. Each institute needs its OWN separate application and uses its own weightage; some (Shillong, Amritsar, IIFT) need Maths in XII, and Shillong needs 70% in X/XII. Not the same exam as IPMAT Rohtak. NICMAR is not on IIM Indore's official list of score users.

IIM Indore's 2026 admission procedure sets no minimum % in X or XII for its own IPM. Other institutes using the score (e.g. IIM Shillong 70%, Nirma 60%) add their own % rules.

How selection works
Need positive raw score + category-wise minimum in all 3 sections → PI shortlist by Aptitude Test Score (ATS weights: QA MCQ 25, QA SA 25, VA 50) → Personal Interview (+ WAT) → final Composite Score = ATS 65% + PI 35%.
