Overview

JEE Main / Advanced (IIM & IIT UG routes) is run by NTA (JEE Main) / IITs (JEE Advanced); used by IIM Mumbai, IIM Lucknow, IIM Sambalpur, and for Economics degrees at IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee through JoSAA for admission to BBA and Economics programmes. 6 colleges listed here accept it, including IIM Mumbai, IIM Lucknow and IIM Sambalpur.

Two very different routes sit under JEE. (1) Tech/data-focused BS degrees at IIMs, open only to JEE takers (in practice PCM students). (2) Economics degrees at IITs — BS Economics at IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur, and a 5-year BS-MS Economics at IIT Roorkee — allotted through JoSAA on JEE Advanced rank like any B.Tech seat. Commerce/humanities students should look at IPMAT, JIPMAT, IIMK BMS AT or IIMB tests instead.

Indian nationals.

IIM Mumbai: Maths + Physics in XII, 60% (55% SC/ST/PwD). IIM Sambalpur: English + Maths in X and XII, 60% in both (55% reserved). IIM Lucknow: PCM + JEE Advanced. Indian nationals only.
